Supporting Our Students and Families During Difficult Times

Dear TMS Families,

As we head into the weekend, our hearts are with the Bend community following the recent tragic shooting. Events like these can be difficult for students and families to process, even when they happen outside our immediate community.
We want to share a helpful resource from the Crisis Management Institute (CMI) that provides families with strategies for talking with children about difficult events, managing anxiety, and supporting students who may be experiencing worry or trouble sleeping.

We encourage you to check in with your child this weekend, listen to their concerns, and remind them that they are loved, supported, and safe to share their feelings.
